Kevin Murray is the photographer. In just a few years Kevin has become not only a good friend, but more importantly, one of the best in the world of ‘Fine Art Golf Photography’ by capturing the real beauty of the world’s golf courses. His style has offered a fresh and original approach to the industry. His photographs are of many courses around the globe: Portmarnock, Celtic Manor, Aberdovey, Loch Lomond, Royal Lytham, Royal Dornoch, Abu Dhabi, India, and the RTJ Alabama Golf Trail are to mention but a few.
My introduction to Kevin came about during a return visit to St. Andrews. In the pro shop of the Castle Course I purchased St. Andrews – The Home of Golf. Published in 2010 by Corinthian Books with narrative by Henry Lord and Oliver Gregory, foreword by Seve Ballesteros, and, of course, abundant and marvelous photography by Kevin Murray. This ‘must have’ beautiful book is about golf and other historical aspects of the ‘Auld Grey Toon’. Two large signed pieces of his photographic art (the signature holes of the Castle Course and the Jubilee Course) now proudly hang on our library wall.
