Dormy House Press was founded in 2011 to honor Mr. Bernard Darwin on the Golden Jubilee of his death on October 18, 1961. Our mission is to publish books about Bernard Darwin and fresh anthologies of his many and varied writings.
The Editor of Dormy House Press is Dick Verinder. Some of his accomplishments are as follows:
- Co-founder of Willow Creek Golf Club, Spring Texas; a von Hagge and Devlin design, member-owned club currently under management contract with Country Clubs of America.
- Treasurer of the first four Doug Sanders Energy City Classic golf tournaments that became a stop on the Seniors (now Champions) Tour.
- Member of Golf Collectors Society (USA), British Golf Collectors Society, Society of Hickory Golfers, the USGA, and Associate Member of The PGA Southern Texas Section.
- Graduate of The University of Texas and a former CPA. Dick’s career spanned Public Accounting and as a senior financial executive for two companies traded on the NYSE. In 2009 Dick retired from a financial services firm he founded.
Dick lives with his wife Jane in Washington County: the birthplace of Texas. They raised three sons and enjoy four grandchildren.
